In 2014 I moved from southwestern Ontario to Nova Scotia to persue my love of art; I attended NSCAD University and majored in painting and took as many printmaking classes as I could as well. I have been obsessed with painting and printmaking since I was a teenager, and my goal is to make art my life.
I am endlessly inspired by this lovely province – the landscape, the ocean (especially) and the people. I incorporate those elements into all of my pieces.
All of my block prints (lino cuts/woodcuts) are made entirely by hand – from the design, to drawing and carving, and lastly inking and printing the block. There is a physical process about printmaking that makes the work so much more fascinating and precious to me. I also love watercolours, acrylics and oils – and applying as much detail into my paintings as possible is something that makes me feel satisfied.
I hope that you will enjoy coming along with me on my creative journey!
